I suppose many "practicing Christians" might be put off by Profession Christine Hayes who is the Robert F. and Patricia Ross Weis Professor of Religious Studies in Classical Judaica at Yale.
A wonderful series of Yale on-line lectures including
a 24 part class by Ms. Hayes who I find is an incredible "light" to my Christian faith may be found here

I'm really touched by Celtic spirituality. If only my friend would stop pouring cold water on it by constantly declaiming that it is all a Victorian construct.....
