How are these lies allowed to be published? Aren't there laws?
The supreme court in California struck down laws that discriminated against same sex persons marrying last spring. So right now people are getting married.
Immediately the usual bunch place on the ballot a constitutional amendment prohibiting it.
The vote is in November. The ad here is a specific response to all the issues "the bunch" have been saying in their television ads.
For a while it looked good; now it does not.
But if these claims are not true, how can they be allowed to go or advertising standards watchdog?
Here, that is called "freedom of speech" ... if it was a person you could not say things about them that were patently untrue (you could get sued); but if it is an idea, or in this case a "proposition" you can say pretty much what you want ...
